The Cologne-based software company MobiLab is honored for providing outstanding solutions and services. Around 150 employees from 40 nations develop Cloud solutions, data platforms and AI-based applications for corporations.
MobiLab Solutions today announced it has won the 2024 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards. The company was honored among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.
“We are delighted to receive this award,” said MobiLab’s Managing Directors Pouya Azimi and Kristina Lazarz. “It is a great tribute to our employees, whose outstanding work makes an important contribution to helping companies accelerate their digital transformation and enabling them unlock insights from their data. At the same time, the award also encourages us to stay one of the top service providers in Germany in a dynamic market in the future.”
The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered outstanding Microsoft Cloud applications, services, devices, and AI innovation during the past year. Awards were classified in various categories, with honorees chosen from more than 4,700 nominations from more than 100 countries.
MobiLab was recognized for providing outstanding solutions and services in Germany. The award also highlights MobiLab’s positive, agile, and inclusive work culture, which fosters the development of innovative solutions and supports the growth of its employees.
“Congratulations to the winners and finalists of the 2024 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards!” said Nicole Dezen, Chief Partner Officer and Corporate Vice President at Microsoft. “The momentum generated by numerous AI & Copilot announcements this year fueled innovation from our partners, enabling groundbreaking services and solutions to customers. I am inspired by the capability and creativity in our partner ecosystem and this year’s winners beautifully demonstrate the best of what’s possible with AI and the Microsoft Cloud.”
Acquiring Data-based insights has become instrumental to maintaining healthy growth for all organizations
Since it was founded in 2011, MobiLab experienced rapidly growth and expansion. What began as a handful of people developing apps for mobile payments – when smartphone payments were still in their infancy in Germany, has grown into a robust company of 150 employees representing more than 40 nations.
From its over 1,500 square meter office in Cologne’s Rheinauhafen district, MobiLab develops cloud-based solutions for modern IT infrastructure, data platforms, and AI-based applications. A second office was opened in Portugal at the beginning of 2024.
MobiLab supports leading global corporations with its services – among its customers are Henkel, Lanxess, Edeka and Fresenius –, by helping them align their business models and processes with data, delivering successful projects, including automating production processes through modern Cloud solutions, optimizing machine maintenance through AI-driven software solutions, increasing competitiveness through intelligent pricing, and establishing new business areas. “Data has tremendous value for companies. In the face of global competition, no company can afford to do without these data-driven insights and cloud-based solutions,” said Azimi and Lazarz.
Positive corporate culture with specialists from all over the world
To meet the growing demand for cloud-based applications and AI-driven data platforms, MobiLab recruits top talent globally. In a departure from industry norms, MobiLab does not outsource work. Instead, it emphasizes close and transparent cooperation with customers and among employees at its Cologne office.
New employees and their families joining the company from abroad receive comprehensive support upon moving to Cologne, including applying for a Blue Card, explaining the German culture, opening a bank account, and more. To ease the challenge of navigating Cologne’s competitive housing market, the company offers accommodation in its own apartments. Since the beginning of the year, MobiLab has welcomed new colleagues from Hong Kong, Japan, Portugal, Mexico, South Africa, the United States, and more.
“For us, a positive corporate culture is paramount and we firmly believe diverse teams deliver great value both for personal development and for the satisfaction of our customers,” said Azimi and Lazarz. Investments are made not only in modern office space, but also in the development of employees through various formats that focus on knowledge sharing, as well as in the recruiting of great colleagues, supported by cultural interviews during the application phase. This also helps us be an attractive employer and counteract the shortage of skilled workers. “Satisfied and motivated employees are pivotal to our growth,” they emphasized.
